It takes me back in time to a day when I was still somebody to someone. This makes it important not for what it is but for what it means to me. So I guess it isn’t really worth much to anyone else. After all, people are mostly concerned with the physical thing. That’s why I get lectured. They know, I know, everyone knows that it will eat away at you. What most people don’t know is that it’s actually a transaction: I give a little part of myself for something completely different. Those who have never done it won’t understand. But it’s okay; people will do what people will do.
